The word 'video'

Wikipedia : "The term video (from the Latin for "I see") commonly refers to several storage formats for moving pictures:
digital video formats, including DVD
, QuickTime, and MPEG-4; and analog videotapes, including VHS and Betamax. " Videos

All these objects are 'videos' - Video Recordings.

They are all formats we have used: 1" C format video tape, Hi-Band U-Matic (small & large), Philips LaserVision video disk, D1 (small & large), BetaCam SP (small & large), Hi-8, VHS, Mini-DV and DVD.

When the 'DVD' format was invented, the letters stood for 'Digital Video Disk'.
Later, when it was realised that it could be used to store computer data, they changed it to 'Digital Versatile Disk'.

- but a DVD is still a 'video' - and a 'video' isn't just a VHS!
