Telford's Last Canal - Waterway history video production

Produced in association with the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust in 1982, this describes the building of Thomas Telford's Birmingham & Liverpool Junction Canal (now nicknamed the "Shroppie") and the enormous difficulties he encountered.

"The quality of video photography is Superb"
(Canal & Riverboat Monthly)

  • Written by Alistair Penfold.
  • Running time: 28 mins.
  • £12.95 - VHS, or DVD-R (copied from master tape) - including worldwide delivery.
Please see the 'Sales' page for purchasing information.

The DVD-R version has been digitally re-mastered from the 1982 camera tapes.
As it was the first title we released for sale, we decided to keep the 'feel' of the original by retaining the contemporary commentary and graphics.
An additional feature on the DVD-R is a section of 'out takes', which some people apparently find amusing!

For more information, see the Shroppie Site Feature
