Does anyone remember the dragline Sundew being walked from the Exton mine to Corby (13 miles) in 1974?

I visited it later when it was working near Corby and took some photos, but I am afraid we missed the actual walk!

I also came from a local village (stanion) and remember using sundew as a climbing frame when i was about ten, it was quite a hit with the local kids. After it was taken away we had to make do with all the giant steel making apparatus at carleton park corby and the steam train at wicksteed park kettering. Both of which are still available to climb i believe. Such is the fate of many a large bit of industrial machinery. still perhaps those early 'hands on' experiences led to my eventually becoming an archaeologist.
