| Does anyone know anything about the aerial ropeway which carried barite from Bog mine in Shropshire, England across the hills to a distant processing mill? I have heard rumours about it being the longest single-rope run in Europe (or the UK or the world??)? | |

| Yes, the Shropshire Caving and Mining Club are at present investigating the route under the leadership of Mike Shaw, who is writing a book about it. You might want to send an e-mail to the club. There is a link to their website on I.A.Recordings' Links page. | |

| There is a development - Mike Shaw and helpers are now trying to trace the route of another ropeway from Huglith mine to Malehurst mill, but so far there seem to be fewer remains on the ground! | |
