Compilation 25a: SND No4 Steam Dredger in Action

The Sharpness New Docks No.4 dredger is now owned and operated by the National Waterways Museum, Gloucester. This tape shows No.4 dredging mud from Gloucester Docks basin and filling a mud boat for the first time in many years.

Detailed shots of the operation, including the Dutch DeKlop inverted vertical compound steam engine provide views usually inaccessible to members of the public.
