| This specialist high quality knitwear manufacturer has been based in Godalming, Surrey, since 1907, producing fully fashioned knitwear, from natural fibres. The recording was made in July 1990, at their factory built in 1965 beside the River Wey. At the time of recording this family firm was due to move its manufacturing to Ammanford, South Wales. |  |

The tour around the works features Japanese computer controlled knitting
machines side by side with British punched tape controlled mechanisms and shows
all the main processes in knitwear manufacturing.
